This leading edge oral surgeon wanted to completely automate his practice - from setting appointments to capturing dental images digitally to entering patient notes to billing.  With a growing practice, the system will allow for additional expansion and greater productivity.

Each room has a personal computer with a TV/LCD display. The surgeon or dental hygienist can access the patient's history and previous x-rays on-line to identify changes in the patient's dental health.  Procedures and required follow-up can be recorded as they are completed and immediately added to the electronic chart.

Digital imaging is a particularly processor intensive capability of the system.  Film-based x-rays are scanned into the patient's record. They are available instantly to help the surgeon track the health of the patient's teeth and changes since their last exam. Digital x-ray technology will be incorporated into the system in the near future.

Once a patient's procedure is complete, the system triggers appropriate activities to initiate insurance and patient billing as well as scheduling any additional appointments. Typical accounting and time tracking functions are also included in the system.

Vital Network Solutions provided a customized server and desktop units for this client. We completed the network installation and integration of all components and provide ongoing on-site and remote support.
